The Early Music Society of Queensland Inc. (EMSQ) brings together people with an interest in the music, instruments and dance of the medieval, renaissance, baroque, and classical periods. Our aim is to support and promote early music in Queensland.
Members play recorders, viol and other stringed instruments, many types of renaissance reed instruments such as crumhorns and rackett, baroque flute, cornetto and more. We hold workshops, concerts and have an informative bi-monthly newsletter.
EMSQ is incorporated as a non-profit society in the state of Queensland. As required, we are covered for $20 million in public liability insurance.
