Ensemble del Passato presents:
Baroque Europe
14 November 2026, 6pm
Polish musicians Ensemble del Passato would like to invite you on an extraordinary musical journey through time and space!
We’re going to visit most important cultural centres of Baroque Europe to take a look at the style and atmosphere of the past centuries. The subtlety of the combination of voice, lute and guitar improvisations creates the unique sound of Ensemble del Passato, which consists of Dr Anna Budzyńska, Maciej Kończak and Prof. Henryk Kasperczak. Musicality, temperament and energy borne of a passion for early music is their signature.
Spend a magical evening surrounded by the voices of Claudio Monteverdi, of George Frederick Handel, as well as lesser-known composers, including King Henry VIII himself.
Music Library
EMSQ has an extensive music library from which members are welcome to borrow.
Instruments for hire
We have a collection of Renaissance and Baroque instruments available for hire, including viols, violins and other stringed instruments, as well as crumhorns, cornettos and other wind instruments. A small number of second hand recorders are available for sale at very reasonable prices.
